We have provided professional instructions for a number of Municipal Firefighting Suppression Crew Members in the Lower Mainland of BC...

Our client requested us to develop and instruct a half day “Workplace Violence Preventions and De-escalation Program” which is designed for FIRST RESPONDERS (e.g. BC Firefighting departments and Paramedics) attending emergency response calls.

This unique program includes but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Workplace violence prevention
  • Workplace safety and risk assessment,
  • Situational awareness of people, places and environments,
  • Dealing with people who are mentally ill and/or are addicted to substance abuse,
  • Awareness of dangerous people in possession of weapons and potential usable weapons
  • Conflict intervention and de-escalation,
  • Effective communication,
  • Tactical Observations of places & people (P.O.S.E.R.)
  • Identifying potential hazards
  • “Time and Distance” as it applies to personal safety & security.
  • Attack analysis and disengaging strategies.
  • Personal safety skills
  • Introduction to Canadian Law how it applies to “Self Defence.”
  • Understanding the importance of taking notes and making out a report

2024 and prior private security training:

  • AST, BST and old BST1/2 security courses:
  • AST training for approximately 100 UBC in-house security employees

  • BST 1 & BST 2 courses for many security professionals including many employees who are proving security services for the movie industry (Teamsters)
