Description
I. Advanced Security Training Information for 24-hour Course (AST)
The Advanced Security Training (AST) Course is a 24-hour certification course designed for security professionals who may be required to utilize force response options or restraints when dealing with high-risk or violent individuals during the course of their duties.
This course is intended for, but not limited to:

- Loss Prevention Personnel
- Hospital Security Personnel
- Licensed Liquor Establishment Door Persons
- Airport Security Personnel
- Campus Security Personnel
- Security Professionals working in high-risk environments
Please note:

- All AST course information, schedules, procedures including course fees listed on this website are subject to change without prior notice.
- The AST course fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Before you make the payment for the AST course you may want to ensure that the company/AST provider is approved by the JIBC to offer the AST course.
- Some companies may advertise the AST course, but they are not approved by the JIBC to instruct the AST course!

III. Course Fee Information for 24-hour AST Course
Course Fee: $375.00 + tax = $393.75
The $393.75 course fee includes the following:

- 24 hours of professional AST instruction
- 5% Provincial Tax
- Official JIBC BST Manual (yours to keep)
- Official JIBC AST Manual (yours to keep)
- Use of Douglas College classroom facilities
- Use of DWK Consulting handcuffs and handcuff keys during practical training
- Use of professional impact protection and safety equipment
- Use of professional floor wrestling mats for takedown training
- Personal protective equipment including gloves, disinfectant supplies, and face masks
- Professionally prepared AST practice examinations
- Professional security and law enforcement training videos
Please note the following:

- The $393.75 course fee does not include the $63.15 written examination fee for the JIBC
- The AST course fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Students who contact the JIBC to register and schedule their AST written examination are responsible for paying the $63.15 examination fee directly to the JIBC.

- This form is used by DWK Consulting instructors for course registration, student contact information and course administration purposes.

2. JIBC Student Attendance Form

- Download, complete and email us back the fully comp[leted JIBC Student Attendance Form.
- This form is used by the JIBC to prepare the required student information for the AST written examination process.
- Therefore, please ensure all information entered on the form is accurate, complete and typed correctly.
- Please do not leave any required information blank, including your JIBC Student Number.

V. Payment Information for 24-hour AST Course

There are two ways to make the AST course payment:
1. Pay by PayPal (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Debit Card)
2. Pay by Direct Bank Transfer (E-transfer)

- Under “MEMO,” enter your full name so we know who submitted the e-transfer.
- You may also contact us by phone, text message, or email to confirm payment.

VII. Written Examination Procedures for 24-hour AST Course

- Upon successful completion of the 24-hour AST classroom training, the JIBC will process the student course completion information submitted by DWK Consulting.
- Once DWK Consulting receives confirmation from the JIBC, students will be contacted with instructions regarding the written examination.
- Please DO NOT contact the JIBC regarding the AST written examination until we ask you to do so.
VIII. Corporate Advanced Security Training (AST)
DWK Consulting provides:

- 8-Hour AST Re-certification
- Private Corporate AST Training
- Flexible scheduling, subject to facility availability
Training may be conducted at Douglas College in New Westminster, BC, or at approved company training facilities.
