8 HOUR AST RE-CERTIFICATION COURSE

We instruct the AST RE-certification course for a period of eight (8) hours on the 3^rd day of the 24 hour AST course.
The curriculum for the AST Re certification Course was developed by the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) and the Security Programs Division of the BC Ministry of Justice.
This course is designed to have course participants review and be examined in all academic and physical skill training areas taught in the 24-hour AST course.
Participants must attend all eight (8) hours of the AST Re certification course and successfully complete the written examination and physical skill requirements of the course.
You need to email us a copy of your AST certificate so that we can determine the expiration date.
You will be requested to produce two (2) valid picture ID when attending the class.

AST Recertification Course Schedule

We are offering three AST Recertfication courses in July on the following dates:
- Course # 1= July 4, 2025 …………. from 9am-5pm ech day
- Course # 2= July 9, 2025………… from 9am-5pm ech day
- Course # 2= July 12, 2025…………. from 9am-5pm ech day

Pleasae note:

** If you wish to take the AST Recertfication course on one of the above dates, please email us the registration form and let us know which course
you would like to take.
** Our next AST Recertification course will be in September, 2025.
** The JIBC requires all schools and instructors to submit the student registation form ONE WEEK before the course starts.

AST Re-certification fee **

The 8-hour AST recertification course fee = $195.00 + 5 % Tax

The above fee includes:

8 hours of professional instructions.
Fee for the use of Douglas College training facility.
Use of professional wrestling mats.
Use of our handcuffs.
Use of our training equipment such as impact shields and other material.
All PPE (gloves and other safety equipment).
Providing assistance how to apply to the Security Programs Division in Victoria to obtain the handcuffing endorsement on your security licence.
Other professional services for our students to complete the AST course.

The above fee does not include:

The JIBC $65.00 written examination fee
The $25.00 fee for the JIBC AST student manual

Please note:

The total fee for the June 6-8, 2025 24-hour AST course including taxes is $299.25.
The 299.25 fee includes JBC $65.00 exam fee, $25.00 JIBC student manual and 5% tax.
We require all students to email us a copy of the participants JIBC AST certficate.
We’ll only accept two students for this course.
The AST course fee is non-refundable!

AST Recertification Course Payment

There are two ways to make the AST course payment:

Pay by PayPal (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Debit Card)
Pay by Direct Bank Transfer (E-transfer)

E-Transfer Instructions

Under “MEMO” please type your full name so that we know that it is YOU who made the e-transfer or contact us by phone/text (604) 941-3453 or eail to let us know that you paid the course fee.
